A fine Venetian daybed dating to 1870, crafted in hand-carved wood with silver gilt detailing over a soft grey-blue ground. The Rococo-style frame displays intricate carvings highlighted with silver accents, lending both elegance and subtle contrast. Designed to function as a small single bed, it disassembles into four parts—two rails and two end pieces—for ease of transport. Included are a custom box spring and mattress, supported by adjustable metal brackets set 2.5" below the side rails. The current setup provides a comfortable 21" seating height, though the brackets may be repositioned or removed for a sleeker profile without the box spring. This Italian piece remains in excellent condition and serves as both a functional and decorative centerpiece.
